Losi 5ive T - Purchase

I bought this Losi 5ive for a guy all the way in the East Coast. Here is the exact posting the seller wrote:

Guys I've got $2300+ in this truck .
The rtr have came down $200 but you get IMHO a junk motor and they come with can muffler , Junk servos , junk radio , all the BEST was bought new and built this truck . ITS VERY FAST and will only get faster after the 1st good gallon of fuel has been ran on it . My gas Rc race boats all 3 have mod zenoah and they get really fast after the 1st gallon . I can't imagine this thing being faster lol. It's much to fast for my 13yr old as it was . It's just been sitting in out hobby room with the lipo in storage mod . It comes with the tools and all stock parts as well . Please NO LOW BALL offers . I'll work with a OBO but my price is 1/2 of what I paid . Gas was a 6oz Honda hp2 to 1gal of 100% 93oct and I'll include almost a hole pint of oil also .
Body has normal scuffs paint chips typical of these lexan bodies but still looks nice . Pics posted is how the truck looks now other than scuffs on body . I can get better pic of scuffs if needed

I built it for my son and he just never showed interest

For this purchase I had very little risk involved because the seller shipped the truck first and I sent him an US Postal money afterwards. The only thing I took a chance on was the condition of the engine. Since the pull start was broken and the handle was not included I was not able to test it until a few weeks later.

Here are my first impressions of the truck. The body is a bit more damaged that what the seller claimed it to be. I texted the seller asking if there are any cracks on the body and he failed to mention the cracks on the front left and right fenders.  

The dents on the body does not bother me as much as the cracks shown above. But I wonder how he got these strange dents.

I have to admit that the bottom of the chassis is very clean. I looks like it is brand new. From the looks of the inside of the truck he must of only ran it in the sand because there is barely any scratch on the chassis.

From far away the truck looks pretty clean but when you take a closer look, there is quite a bit of sand in it. The seller did tell me about it and offered to clean some of it out, but I told him not to bother. Because I plan to tear it down anyways to do my standard mods and change the diff oils.

I like how he had the Hitec 5764MH servos so I can use both of them for the steering and use a different servo for the throttle/brakes. He is also using a KillerRC 7200mah 2S lipo so I can run everything at a higher voltage.

He sent in his Zenoah G290RC engine to OBR and modified it to a Full Mod 30.5, so that is why this engine did not come with the billet case. You can also see in the picture the pull start with a missing pull start handle. .

This is a box of sand that I brushed off the truck while I was tearing it down.
