Here is my version of a gimbal mount with a tunable rubber vibration damper. You can tune it by added more dampers or stiffer ones. I am only using 4 dampers but there are still 4 more holes that are empty that the rubber dampers will go in.
What I find strange about the way other people are creating the gimbal mounts with the same style of dampers is that they let the gimbal hang from the dampers itself. I am pretty sure these dampers are compression style, where the weight is suppose to be placed on top of it and not pulled on.
I still need to fine tune the PID settings because I never change a single setting since I first entered the suggested start settings by "Fabien " on RCG.
Roll : Proportional at 15 / Integral at 0.20 / Derivative at 10 and power at 100
Pitch : Proportional at 4 / Integral at 0.20 / derivative at 5 / power at 80
The only change I did make is the number poles for the 4006 Tiger Motors I am using.
Here is a video of my first flight:
You can see in this picture that the lower aluminum plate will be mounted firmly to the frame without any damping. Whereas the gimbal thats is mounted to the top plate floats in between the rubber dampers.
The Brushless Gimbal Controller is mounted to the lower bottom of gimbal
