After many failed attempts to get a running 1/5 truck this is the best thing so far. I took my brand new Savage Flux and installed a TCS 5T conversion kit.
This is pretty much how the kit looks like when I pulled it out of the box.
This is the parts list that comes with this kit
In this pictures you can see the new extender front drive shaft that is about 1 foot long
Here is the new TVP that is 8.65" inches longer than the stock and it is made out of 5mm thick 6061 aluminum
This is a comparison between the new extended TVP plate on top and the standard length TVP on bottom. These 2 TVP are both made by TCS and out of 5mm 6061 aluminum.
Here are a few pictures of the TCS Flux 5T conversion kit installed.
I used a Tekin RX8 with a T8 2000KV 4083 truggy motor to power the Savage Flux 5T.
I mounted a set of LST2 tires with 23mm wheels on the Savage 5T.
To give you an idea the size of the Savage 5T I have lined up a few cars. Starting from my left is an 1/5 scale HPI Baja 5T, 1/5 HPI Savage Flux TCS 5T, 1/8 Losi Brushless LST XXL, 1/10 E-REVO, and 1/16 Erevo.
As you can see the Savage is now a lot longer than the LST.
The Savage is not as big as the Baja 5T but it is very close. I think the Baja 5T may be a bit wider only because I installed Dark Soul wheels extenders on it.
This is just a mock version of the Proline Desert Rat 5T body I planning to mount on the Savage. I just placed the body on top of the truck to get an idea how it would look.
